Rev Wright - Not only a very good friend but his pastor for 20 years. 3. Rezko - I would assume a friend, Obama went to him about the house deal...Rezko also held fund raisers for Obama at his home. 4. Mansour - Helped Obama get into Harvard McCain 1. Hagee - As far as I know gave endorsement to McCain. Unless their is something more how does this reflect negatively on McCain. If any of the above people only endorsed Obama and he wasn't friends with them this wouldn't be an issue.

McCain even said: "I've never been in Pastor Hagee's church or Pastor Parsley's church. I didn't attend their church for 20 years, and I'm not a member of their church. I received their endorsement, which did not mean that I endorsed their views." Obama, on the other hand, went to Wright's Church, hooked Tony Rezko up, is friends with Ayers, and now has this new guy. I don't know if he supports the beliefs of all of these people, but he sure has surrounded himself with some shady characters

One would think that undecided voters would be more curious about Obama's background, wouldn't you? I had no casual radical acquaintences who knew me well enough to recommend me for a job, political office, or admittance to an exclusive college - and I really do not believe that I am unusual in that regard. My friends and associates are fairly mainstream - even the liberal ones. :lol:

Appearing on ABC's "'This Week" in late April 2008, McCain criticized Hagee's past remarks on the Catholic Church, but said that, "I admire and appreciate his advocacy for the state of Israel, the independence of the state of Israel." That last line is like saying "sure my friend killed 2 people for no reason but he donates to the local homeless shelter, right?" Count the numbers of whackos that these guys associate with all day but don't try to minimize McCain's DESIRED involvement with Hagee. Its not like McCain said "I've never heard of this guy but if he wants to support me its a free country." He USED this guy to get access to cash and to get votes from his whackjob congregation. Any Catholic that says Hagee is less offensive than any of the Obama gang is not paying attention. If we're talking matters of degree (as you guys seem to be) I'd take Obama/Rezko over McCain/Hagee. But if the issue with Rezko is that he was a crook and Obama got a "sweet deal" on a house from this guy then you have to say that McCain's wife and father-in-law also got a sweet deal (Phoenix New Times term) when they invested in a Keating shopping center. That is simply based on opinions. Obama wrote a one page letter for Rezko. He did that for many other people as well, so unless you can provide more evidence, I don't buy that he "hooked Rezko up". And the fact that Rezko had not even been charged at the time with any crimes is important too.

I mean, the only reason a mob boss would send a contribution is if he received some sort of favor right? Or if he and McCain were at least friends, right?
