Come on Fletch, there is no comparison between McCain and Obama/Biden. Even the NRA would rather have McCain over these two.

Obama's stance on guns offers something for everybody to like. He supports Americans' Second Amendment rights AND he supports the right of local governments to deny those rights. Who can disagree with both of those positions?:lol:

:lol: Obama supported the DC handgun ban. The case reached the US Supreme Court and the court ruled against the hand gun ban. Obama then said he agreed with the court's decision. Among true supporters of the Second Amendment, Obama's positions are about as inconsistent as humanly possible. Maybe they are reconcilable with one another in a parallel universe.

• The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, which today is being petitioned to ban lead bullets for hunting, even in the ubiquitous .22 rimfire;

Who said anything about withdrawing? I think you're a bit confused there.

I have posted Obama's anti-gun record more than once, it's there if you just look. There is nothing alarmist about being concerned about who is control of making changes in laws that will affect gun owners. You're simply trying to spin this into the usual Democrat talking points. Need I remind you that Biden penned the Clinton Gun Ban that Obama and Biden want to resurrect?

I don't understand how you can imply that the OJ ticket is for GCS, when McCain heavily supported the Patriot Act; the biggest infringement on our constitutional rights to this day.

I've never understood why Republicans want to cut funding for police officers and make it easier for criminals to get guns. My cousin's police union is backing Obama because they plan on restoring the COPS grants that put officers on the streets and schools when Clinton was in office. Bush got in office and those resources went overseas and police funding got cut. I'm curious to hear a Republican take on why it's OK to reduce funding for police officers yet make it easier for the criminals to get assault weapons.
