But when LCA's starters were in (the whole first half mostly and the whole 4th quarter), #30 Dominique (I think that's his name.) was shut down, and #7 (the QB) didn't do all that well (he threw a notable interception). LCA scored on a couple broken plays, and Frankfort drove a couple times all the way down the field only to turn the ball over. It was evenly matched, I'm not saying LCA is over rated, I'm saying why was the score so close?

LCA ended up the year by losing in the finals by 3 points. THIS scrimmage was an improvement; they are ahead of last year.

Last year Frankfort was stacked, I mean come on, they had a QB that went on to play at Kentucky and people say he wasn't even the best player on the team. This years Frankfort team is supposed to be a top 15 team at best...while LCA is #1?

When you say "starters", that needs to be qualified by saying "started THIS scrimmage".

 

No doubt, you noticed that LCA had #s 71 & 72 in there blocking for Hayden and Witt, et al. They are freshmen, who are good, but will probably not be starting ahead of several upper-classmen.

 

When I stated "personnel changes", I was mostly referring to the linemen.

Good scrimmage. Both teams got a lot of work. Final was 15-15. Two things that will kill FHS if they don't fix: Turnovers and Depth. Yet to have the same 5 guys practice on the o-line.

Now I have come to two conclusions...

1. LCA needs to prove they are worthy of holding down a #1 spot.

Look, believe what you want. Those of us who do analysis of LCA's team know that we are far better off at the beginning of this season than last season. What we accomplish, and whether we end up #1 remains to be seen.

PP 18 Trust me when I say LCA is a top 3 program this season. Scrimages coaches work on things, work with different people to get a look.

Trust me FHS did some things in that scrimmage to get better not to beat LCA. People put to much into scrimmage scores.
