The scrimmage was in a game format, including kicking.

 

In the first half (I had to leave at halftime), each team had 6 possessions. Frankfort scored on their first drive (2 plays), and ran in the 2 pt. conversion. One of LCA's cornerbacks got run over on both plays. He will have to step up his tackling.

 

LCA scored on their 3rd and 5th possessions. The 2nd score was by the new guy, Tyler Townsend, and went for about 80 yards (a short pass). Townsend had 2 outstanding cutbacks leading to his score. The 2 pt. conversion was good.

 

The halftime score was 15-8, LCA leading.

 

Two guys for LCA were noteworthy. #24, Mossbarger had an interception and a very hard hit. And #75, Zach West had an outstanding shot on a guy, sending him flying out of bounds - it was pretty to see and to hear!

 

I met Coach Buckett - a very nice gentleman. I looked for Pigman, but didn't see him. Perhaps another time!

I will also add that, though the players may not be up to mid-season levels, the coaches of both teams ARE: there was major-league "butt chewing" going on on BOTH sidelines!

Thanks for the update Bluto and have you ever seen a game/practice anywhere without butt chewing? I know that I haven't and I don't think that I ever will. :lol:

Good scrimmage. Both teams got a lot of work. Final was 15-15. Two things that will kill FHS if they don't fix: Turnovers and Depth. Yet to have the same 5 guys practice on the o-line.

I saw a LOT of personnel changes for LCA throughout the scrimmage. I'm sure that coach Rains was giving many players a chance to show what they can do.
