The scrimmage was in a game format, including kicking.

 

In the first half (I had to leave at halftime), each team had 6 possessions. Frankfort scored on their first drive (2 plays), and ran in the 2 pt. conversion. One of LCA's cornerbacks got run over on both plays. He will have to step up his tackling.

 

LCA scored on their 3rd and 5th possessions. The 2nd score was by the new guy, Tyler Townsend, and went for about 80 yards (a short pass). Townsend had 2 outstanding cutbacks leading to his score. The 2 pt. conversion was good.

 

The halftime score was 15-8, LCA leading.

 

Two guys for LCA were noteworthy. #24, Mossbarger had an interception and a very hard hit. And #75, Zach West had an outstanding shot on a guy, sending him flying out of bounds - it was pretty to see and to hear!

 

I met Coach Buckett - a very nice gentleman. I looked for Pigman, but didn't see him. Perhaps another time!

Yes, #24 Clay Mossbarger is a Freshman. He is 5'9", 153 lbs.

 

Clay played well, but he was only in the lineup for part of the 2nd quarter (I only saw the first half).
