Are you disagreeing with the fact that they will have 3 or 4 sign when the year is over? Also I find when people don't have an argument they tend to get picky about choice of words (Signed / Committed). How many 6A teams will have 4 or more sign at end of year.

 

Who from Beechwood do you think will sign D1 scholarships? I see Mainello for sure, probably on Teipel, and maybe on Daniels and Slusher.

Those are the 4 that I had in mind. Mainello for sure, probably for Teipel, more than likely for Slusher and a good possibility for Daniels.

No.. Boone lost a whole lot last year, and Beechwood is not your average 1A football team. As mentioned before they have possibly four division I prospects. You obviously are unaware of the Tiger program.

It was just funny they way he chose to lump all NKY 6A football teams together because of Boone Co.'s sub par performance against Beechwood.

We all know going into the post season in Northern KY that if we play X or T or any power houses from the Louisville area the teams from up here are going to struggle its happened year in and year out. Its tough to compete with the big guys from down there.

Highlands, CovCath, NCC and Beechwood do so very well and in the case of CovCath and HHS they do so well even though they play up! Boone, Ryle and Conner etc. are not small enrollment schools either, but when was the last time any of the big schools from NKy won anything downstate?

I am sure if Ryle or Conner drew kids from 4 or 5 counties like T or X instead of drawing them from a quarter of Boone County, they would compete.

Come on DD, all you have to do is work for the BOE and your kid can play for any high school they want in Boone County!

 

BTW why get upset with T X, when you can thank the BOE of Boone County for not allowing the Boone County schools to do what the Kenton County BOE allows their students to do and that is having open enrollment!

I am not upset with T and X, they have built tremendous programs over the years and that's why most of the tallent in Louisville want to play there. Just explaining that it's hard to compete with that kind of tradition, when you get whatever tallent lives within 25% of your county. Would Cov Carh be competitive if they were restricted to 25% of the kids that live in Covington?

 

Not everyone can work for the BOE, and I doubt many would change jobs just so their kids could pay ball.

And Boone County was very competitive with T and X in the 80s and 90s.
