ESPN league.

10 team league, Standard rules.

7th pick in draft.

QB- Peyton Manning

RB- Rudi Johnson

RB- Clinton Portis

WR- Anquan Boldin

WR- Hines Ward

RB/WR- Michael Turner

TE- Chris Cooley

D/ST- Eagles

K- Nick Folk

Bench- Brett Favre

Bench- Felix Jones

Bench- Greg Olsen

Bench- Ricky Williams

Bench- Donte' Stallworth

Bench- Deuce McAllister

Bench- Desean Jackson

Good not great. Your weak point is your RB.

If your RB's stay healthy you should be good. But with those 2 thats a big if.

Rudi is a BIG if.

That is what I was thinking. He no longer is a top back in the league.

There are a lot of question marks with the RB's this season..With the 7th pick I had gore or portis and maybe lynch...Not sure...I was going to draft Matt Forte but he was picked a couple in front of me in the later rounds...

I really figure I keep Favre and if he is decent I can trade him or Manning for a pretty good RB if a team needs a QB badly...Hopefully it plays out in my favor.

I'd drop somebody (Olsen, Williams, Deuce, or Jackson) and pick up Kenny Watson or Chris Perry...or drop two and grab them both until you see what's going to happen with Cincy's backfield.

Thats a terrible idea. He does need another RB, but I'd stay away from any of the Bengals backs until you know if they have anyone who's going to get a majority of the carries.

If they all split about 8-10 a game not worth it. If one of them is getting 20+ it'd be ok. But right now theres no reason to think that's the case.

You're handcuffing them (at least one of them) to a starter on your team, Rudi...

Ricky Williams will be splitting about 8-10 carries per game...Deuce McAllister won't be getting a huge amount either.

He doesn't even need a backup TE and it's not likely that DeSean Jackson will produce enough to be a serious fantasy contributer.

I think handcuffing Rudi to at least one of his backups is far from a terrible idea considering the rest of his roster.

But, heck, why not wait around to confirm all those things, find out Rudi can't get it done and Watson is going to be the feature back and...wait...someone else already picked him up.

Nice...:thumb:

I'm not saying he doesn't needs someone, just wouldn't be one of those guys.

Well going through the preseason thus far Williams has been a good back for the Dolphins and it's said that if Brown can't produce then they'll get an equal amount of carries... I drafted Felix Jones because if Barber can't handle the load himself Jones may be a good back to have..

I would say a good back probably still out there may be Kolby Smith of KC...They said they are going to go 50/50 between him and Larry Johnson to lighten the load. I'll wait it out and see what happens.

Williams is going to get a lot of carries. Keep him.

No way they split carries 50/50 between LJ and Kolby Smith. If you want to take a chance on LJ getting injured, that's possible. But, if he's healthy, he's getting the bulk of the carries in KC. Plus, they drafted Jamaal Charles. Where does he fit in?

I wouldn't drop Ricky Williams either. Even if he doesn't get a 50/50 share of the carries, he's still going to get touches and could very well get a lot of red zone touches. So, even with less carries, he may be more valuable if he emerges as their goal line back and gets in the end zone more than Brown. Plus, you never know with Brown coming back from an ACL injury.

In a 10 team league, I doubt you're going to get a good RB at this point from the free agent pool. I still think it makes more sense to get Watson or Perry to back up Rudi. That way you can at least be sure you'll have another primary back, rather than taking a chance on a backup when you don't have the starter.

You've got one of the steadiest TE's in the league in Chris Cooley. I really don't think you need Greg Olsen as his backup. By the time Cooley's bye week rolls around, you should have an idea of which guys you can drop, or an injury will take care of the guess work for you.

Just my take on it...

Who are the best available RB's and WR's in your league?

I think you have a good team, but I think your Wr's are weaker than your RB corp. Even if Rudi is injured, I think Felix Jones will have some nice games and Turner should be solid, on a bad team. Boldin and Ward are hard nosed and productive but both are 2nd fiddle on their own team.
