Lots of people are willing to talk the talk, but not willing to walk the walk.

I got a chuckle out of that even if I think some people in both political parties are full of crap. RP...have to laugh because I just did an interview regarding people begging for money and how we handle it. :lol:

George Bush's tax cuts (FWIW, "fiscal conservative" is not exactly appropriate terminology for him) greatly helped many middle-class families. I'm all for raising taxes on say, the wealthiest top 1.2% of Americans. Why? No one likes to pay taxes. Why should they have to pay more? What did they do wrong? Furthermore, those are the Americans with a lot of money in the banks. Have you ever (or do you ever plan on) taken out a loan? The only way that banks can keep interest rates low is if they have large reserves of cash in their possession. If we raise taxes on the Uber-Wealthy, they will be only more likely to find ways to hide their income. Interest rates on loans will rise, and the economy can only do worse- less loan-taking means less new businesses, less new jobs, less new economic growth, etc.

Just look at the massive debt the past 3 republican presidents has left this country in. Look at the state of the economy now. I just don't see it working out for anyone other than the rich. And, no, Bush has not helped out middle class families. Do you ever read the paper or watch T.V?
August 22, 200818 yr How about when the Republicans cut taxes for all taxpayers? That's great, the 600 bucks stimulus package when a long way in helping bring down my $3,000 credit card debt, but unfortunately it did little to help the economy and my current state as a middle class citizen.
