How can you turn a blind eye to how much he made a scene and fire off on Bolt? It's absurd... Scene, he just won a race by .01 and his 7 gold medal. He doesn't compare to Bolt on celebrations. If Bolt would have done it after he crossed the line it would have not been so bad but he did while he was still running.

August 18, 200818 yr I am not talking about ability when I said trying to compare to Bolt. What he did was unbelievable on the track, ability wise. I was saying you were trying to hard to bring Phelps into the way Bolt celebrated. If a swimmer tries to celebrate before a race is over, they won't win. You can celebrate in track before the race is over. I understand Phelps just won his 8th Gold Medal but the other guy just won the first Gold for his country in the 100M, if i heard correctly.

That would have been amazing for him to run that. I bet his only regret in the race is that he could have set an unbelievable world record.
August 18, 200818 yr No the race was not officially over. Run the race of your life, shatter the world record and then celebrate after crossing the line. You might have an arguement if he didn't break the WR. But he still broke it and easily won the race.
