August 18, 200818 yr With the exception of relays, track and field is an individual sport. So yes, it is about me me me. The same for swimming but I don't see a lot of chest pumping in that sport.

Looking at the crowd, thumping chests, and going to the crowd grabbing flags and chest thumping? I didn't see that at the pool. I saw celebrations but not chest thumping directed to the crowd.
