August 1, 200818 yr The Republican convention should be as equally entertaining as the Democratic convention....
August 7, 200818 yr Were are all the Republicans....? Have you guys given up...?They are probably tired of posting the same names over and over. There have already been multiple threads speculating about both candidates' running mates. I am pulling for Sara Pallin, Bobby Jindal, or Mit Romney, but McCain will probably play it safe and go with somebody who will not steal the limelight from him.
August 8, 200818 yr I'm nearly convinced it will be Pawlenty. I think McCain would have chosen Jindal by now if he was going to do it.
August 8, 200818 yr I'm nearly convinced it will be Pawlenty. I think McCain would have chosen Jindal by now if he was going to do it. If he choses Pawlenty, he will have zero chance at winning the White House IMO.
August 8, 200818 yr McCain/Exxon 2008 Haha. How about Carlyle/Halliburton 2008? Lockhheed can be Sec. of State.
August 8, 200818 yr If he choses Pawlenty, he will have zero chance at winning the White House IMO. Pawlenty is his best choice outside of Jindal, I don't know what you're basing your opinion on.
August 8, 200818 yr Seriously though, McCain needs to name someone impressive, and soon. His campaign needs a shot in the arm. But I'm not sure at this point who the right person is.
August 9, 200818 yr I favor Mit Romney right now. He's an economic guru. As far as Obama's running mate, I'm pretty sure he'll pick a guy in a "traditional republican/democrat battleground state" just so he can steal some electoral votes. Right now I think that's a given.
August 9, 200818 yr Were are all the Republicans....? Have you guys given up...? Most are more interested in talking bad about Barack Obama than good about John McCain.
August 9, 200818 yr Most are more interested in talking bad about Barack Obama than good about John McCain. It is easier than finding something good about McCain...
August 9, 200818 yr It is easier than finding something good about McCain...You are right about that. Obama's downside is boundless.
