July 31, 200818 yr Why? Because the deal would require the BoSox to include prospects as well as Manny Ramirez and the $7 million remaining on his 2008 salary, the Sox appear unwilling to pay that much. The Dodgers have entered the mix to get Manny.

I agree with the Sox then, if I were to give up a hitter of Manny's caliber to get a lesser hitter in Bay, I want prospects in the deal as well, I would not want to give up prospects as well.
