The Sox do not want him, he does not want to be with the Sox. It is time for this marriage to get a divorce.

 

^^^ That trade is VERY good for all teams involved. The Pirates get valuable young pieces, the Sox get at least something in the form of Bay for a disgruntled Manny, and the Marlins add even more power to that outstanding offense.

10:33pm: The Palm Beach Post says a tentative agreement has been reached, despite Gammons' comments. Here's the deal:

 

Marlins get: Manny Ramirez, cash, prospect from Red Sox

Red Sox get: Jason Bay, John Grabow

Pirates get: Ryan Tucker, Jeremy Hermida, one prospect from Red Sox

If Boston is able to get Bay from the Pirates, it's going to make the Pudge trade look like the Red Sox brought home the Prom Queen while the Yankees brought home her sister that's the base of the cheerleading pyramid.

Wow, I would've been happy with Hermida and a couple prospects....Bay and Garbow makes this a great trade for the BoSox.

I don't that Manny will get traded.

11:21pm: Heyman says there's some prospect haggling but the teams are optimistic a deal will get done. The Marlins and Red Sox seem certain to make a swap, while the Pirates are trying to enhance their part. They are still at risk of being replaced by another club.

12:03am: Baseball Prospectus' Kevin Goldstein believes the Pirates will end up with Stanton, Tucker, and Hermida.

Looks like the Sox may be wanting Jack Wilson thrown into the mix.

 

 

Here's the latest. MLB.com says we're moving closer to the three-team deal. The Pirates could receive a minor leaguer from the Red Sox. Dejan Kovacevic says the Pirates would receive four or more prospects for Bay, as well as Hermida. John Grabow could end up in Boston or Florida. Perrotto says it could be expanded to have Jed Lowrie go to Pittsburgh and Jack Wilson to Boston.

Looks like the Sox may be wanting Jack Wilson thrown into the mix.

This thing is going to the wire tomorrow. I can't wait... :creepy::lol:

I will be a little dissapointed ir the Reds don't at least trade a bat boy or something.
