New Kings Island ride?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know ANYTHING about the new ride coming to Kings Island? I was there the other day and I saw that they had some of the concrete structure in place and the area was fenced off, but I'm dying to know what kind of ride it is and all that good stuff.

I had the same questions myself, about all I could find..

5/21/08) Robbie Knievel appeared on the local news to talk about his historic jump at Kings Island this Saturday and briefly mentions the park’s 2009 coaster as a “huge roller coaster”.

I've heard that when you are walking on the path by The Beast that you walk under part of the ride and that part of it wraps around back behind the Tomb Raider ride, but those are just rumors.

If it's like that digital simulation video in the second link then that makes me even more excited. It looks pretty awesome.

From what I just gathered..

It goes back into the woods by The Beast.

It's crazy fast

You get wet.

I agree, it was sweet to sit and watch.

We'll have to wait till August to find out for sure.

I was there last Friday and it did look quite intriguing...the layout that is.

What was more interesting is how little time we waited for rides. I thought it would be stupid crowded, but from what I have heard is there their attendance is way down this year.

I rode the Beast, back to back in less than 10 minutes wait. Still a great ride, but I think it beats the crap out of you now than it ever has.

I went on a Monday and my longest wait was 30 minutes for Firehawk.

However the water park was jam packed.

That is true of all amusement parks. I know many Six Flags have been offering child's admission for adults. The past few years I have gone, the numbers have been down at PKI. Actually, this past year was the most I had seen in about 5 years, yet still low compared to 10 years ago.

Speaking of a ride that needs to be removed.

I kinda liked that ride. It's different.

For me, it's fine until the point where the ride tips you upside down and lets you just hang there for several seconds. It gives me a headache everytime and just isn't worth it to me.

I'm a huge roller coaster fan.

I'll wait to see what K.I. comes up with before deciding to visit there again. I havent gone in the last 3 years. More of a Cedar Point guy myself.

Track which looks like is made by B&M is being laid at KI... which means KI is in for a real treat IMO. I'm hoping for a Hypercoaster such as Nitro in SFGadv. I guess we'll see in due time.
