How do you post a link using custom text?

Featured Replies

make it were you can type whatever you want for a link you post? Like when you paste the link, how do you get it to were you can type "LINK" or whatever you wish instead of having a big long link. Thanks.

Make sure you're in full WYSIWYG mode before you typ your post. You can do that with the A/A button up in the right-hand corner. Type (or paste) in the URL of the site to which you want to link. After you hit "Enter" it should become a blue, underlined link. Highlight the link and type over it with the text you want to appear on the screen. Then submit your post as usual. That should do it.

But what does "WYSIWYG" mean? What you say is what you got? lol

You can also copy the URL type "Link", highlight it and click on createlink.gifthen past the URL in the box and click OK.

It should, if you're in the right mode.

Ram helped me figure it out.

I've always just used the 'insert link' button and you can type in anything you want that way as well.

Personally, I've always typed it in BB Code. You type (without the spaces) [ url="http://whateverthelinkis.com" ] Enter text [ /url ]

OK I got it that far but whenever I try to use multiple words it stops after the first one.
