Who are some of the best Hero-Villian duos in movies?

I figured I would start the conversation off with Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader from the original Star Wars trilogy.

Batman - Joker (from the comics to every so campy TV to the big screen)

Oskar Schindler-Amon Goethe (Schindler's List)

Superman and Lex Luther

Fantastic Four and Dr. Doom

I think one of the best the most wouldn't first think about is from the Patriot.

Benjamin Martin (Mel Gibson) vs. Colonel William Tavington (Jason Issacs).

I feel that this is one of the best one because you could say the whole movie is about these two but from the outside it appears to be about the Revoluntionary War...plus it's just a great movie.

Gangs of New York, Amsterdam Vallon (DiCaprio) & The Butcher (Day-Lewis).

Gladiator, Maximus (Russell Crowe) & Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix).

Zoolander & Mugatu

Austin Powers vs. Dr. Evil

Insomnia, Will Dormer(Al Pacino) & Walter Finch(Robin Williams).

Happy Gilmore and Shooter McGavin.

Zoolander & Mugatu

 You can read minds?

Malcolm Reynolds vs. The Operative (from the movie, Serenity)

Sheriff Buford T. Justice v. Bo "The Bandit" Darville

Gangs of New York, Amsterdam Vallon (DiCaprio) & The Butcher (Day-Lewis).

Probably the best one that you named I think...When there is much more to the story like there is with these two I think it creates a much better sense of a rivalry (Whatever you wanna call that hatred).
