I liked both Biden and Edwards....thought Edwards had a shot, knew Biden did not. As the campaign went on, came to admire Hillary's toughness and tenacity. I thought she performed well in the debates and more than held her own.

I'd say he's one of the favorites. Biden might get the invite for a cabinet post, maybe SOS.

:lol::lol::lol::lol: I will never step away from my support of Hillary. I think she is one of the smartest women of our time. I admire her for so many reasons. She ran a campaign that "any" man would have been proud of. She was a class act when she said she would lean her support to Obama and she was smart enough to just suspend her campaign:D

I couldn't agree more. Very smart, very tough woman. Would have been a fine president. I voted for her in the primary.

I have always supported Senator Barack Obama.

No question about that....If Obama is elected, IMO he owes Huckabee a big thank you for helping him get there.

Everyone wants to say if Huckabee would have gotten out that his supporters would have gone to Romney. But over and over and over, the polls showed that the Huckabee supporters, ME INCLUDED, would have gone to McCain NOT Romney.

 

The popular but misguided thought was that the evangelical vote was going to Romney from Huckabee but the evangelicals were not going to support a Mormon. Right or wrong is irrelevant, they simply weren't.

I wanted John Edwards to win, but I'd say his chances at winning the general election were not very good.

I believe that to be true. I have heard many evangelicals' take on Mormonism and it isn't positive.

Tancredo, Hunter, and Thompson all share my positon on most issues but I never thought any of them had a serious shot at winning the nomination. I initially liked Huckabee but the more I saw and heard the less he appealed to me. Conversely, the more I saw and heard of Romney, the more I became convinced that he has the makings of a great president.

 

McCain was always near the bottom of my list of Republican candidates.
