I think they have made a whole lot of mistakes in the past and see your point, but I don't think continuing to make these mistakes make it better regardless of the school. I believe a big case like this is may cause some much-needed changes.

 

I see where you're coming from but at the same time you have to realize even though it's not what's best for the kids if we show them breaking the rules is ok, which they obviously did with their comments, it teaches them no lessons of integrity.

 

Also, I personally question Hicks' morals for letting these high profile transfers come in and take 3 starting positions who other kids have worked 7-8 years in the program to get.

I don't see much chance of getting it reversed, but it's still very early in the process. If they get Euton, and eventually Zollo as some have mentioned, we'll get a look at how quickly perception can become reality...

Morals? So judgng by that the Johnson boys should not be allowed to play and th Housley boy should not be allowed to play without you questioning Henley's morals.

 

Anyways, I think it is the coach's job to be fair, meaning you take what you have and play the best players for winning games and the good of the program. I think it woud be morally wrong not to play a new kid if he deserved it just because he hasn't been there.

I hadn't thought about that one. You may be right. How much of the UK factor will be involved in the appeals process is anyone's guess. Will it, and BIG TIME politics, affect their decision?

Lol, that is very true. Guess when we are the ones facing the rulings our opinions change.... I never noticed any mountains in Scott Co. I know Log Mountain is in Bell County? So maybe that is why the LMB was so upset about Mitchell playing.

Kinda like sneakin girls in the dorm room, 1 or 2 maybe but when you back the pick-up truck up to the door somebody is gonna get caught.

 

Take a look at Jeffersontown in Jefferson County, theynhave several transfers who are going bther only for basketball and all the KHSAA did was sit the coach down for three games. Not a bad tradeoff for a D1 player????

I don't know the details of that situation, but Scott Co. can't let them play though, unless it is acknowledged by either the KHSAA or Kentucky Board of Education.

 

I live in Lexington where I go to school at and do enjoy watching Scott Co. play and have become a fan since coming to town btw.

I became a big fan in 2004 when I watched them make it to the Final 4 in the Sweet 16. I don't know if Id ever seen a team play that hard.

As I said, I don't know the situation that well as to why he was ruled a certain way, but he was an illegal player. He may very well have been wrongfully ruled ineligible as well though.
