I agree...people should be more careful with what they say. I think the Euton's "touring" the facilities is also a big no no as well. The KHSAA has more than enough evidence.

One of the Lexington TV stations said that comments made by Euton's dad in the newspapers indicated that athletics was a contributing factor in the transfer and move. That's a no-no, and a big red flag with the KHSAA.

This has to go down in the Hall of Fame of clerical errors. What ever happened to proof reading?

I don't see how they could overlook 4 players from the same AAU team transferring to one of the biggest basketball schools in the state in the same year. Anyone could find an excuse to use, but a coincedince? i think not...I believe Euton's case makes sense. But Jackson and Flannery following? I'm not convinced.

I heard about 2 weeks ago, the KHSAA was taking a serious look into the Scott County transfers. People here told me I didn't know what I was talking about and that both had already been ruled eligible.

 

My guess is they are also looking into the Flannery kid. And then they may take a look at Zollo to GRC.

And when I said that I was ridiculed. The KHSAA doesn't just rule kids ineligible for poo's and giggles. It was obvious they were all going there for one reason so the KHSAA made the right decision in ruling them ineligible.

 

With that being said though, with all of them being eligible their senior years, they'll all still get a ring.

 

One player I feel somewhat sorry for though is Phares considering he's a senior this year and will probably miss out on an opportunity at getting a state title because a few decided to open their mouths.

The article in the Lexington Herald talked about more situations that did not have the best interest of the kids when the KHSAA made their decisions. I think your first question should be directed to the parents of these players. Is it really worth a state title one year or in your kids best interest to move for athletic reasons and potentially have your kids ruled ineligible?

Are you kidding? The KHSAA should be there to do what is best for students. I believe in this situaion the boys shoul be allowed to play. That is what is best for them. If there is proof of recruiting, now that is an issue. But if a family wants to move to a different part of a state for their well-being you should be able to do that without being punished. But here is the thing, the Eutons had to move becase of the job situation. So because the father was honest his kid can't play. Its not like its the only or main reason for them to move.

My school has been on the end of some of those decisions that I didn't agree with, while at the same time I looked around and saw larger, more influential schools, getting kids eligible with the same circumstances that ours got turned down for.

My school has been on the end of some of those decisions that I didn't agree with, while at the same time I looked around and saw larger, more influntial schools, getting kids eligible with the same circumstances that ours got turned down for.

I think they have made a whole lot of mistakes in the past and see your point, but I don't think continuing to make these mistakes make it better regardless of the school. I believe a big case like this is may cause some much-needed changes.
