If you get a chance ride about 15 minutes west toward Pensacola. There is a little town called Narvarre Beach. Best kept secret in Fla. It was hit by several Hurricanes. Let me know if the Hotels are open.

There was nothing down there at that time. We went there as a family every year from '95-'03. It just got to be so crowded in the summer months that we couldn't stand it any more. The beaches are like none other, but we couldn't take all the traffic. The last time we went in July, we stayed at the Edgewater. It took us almost one hour to travel to Louisiana Lagniappe to eat, and that was our last trip. I do love the area, though. Have a wonderful time!
June 16, 200818 yr Author 331? :creepy: I too love the area, but as you stated, it has become very touristy over the years. I used to jump on 331 in montgomery and take it all the way to 98...Now I try to stay on 65 as long as I can,so I can drive 70+ MPH...

The last time down there, we missed the Montgomery exit and took 65 all the way down to 10 (I think), and then took that through Pensacola, Destin, and over to PCB. It was actually a little longer I think, but at least there was civilization.
