Some people are just rude an obnoxious and that is the way they are. It makes it very miserable for those of us that are trying to follow protocol. All I wanted to do at my daughters graduation is smack about half a dozen of the idiots. I got to set there and watch them , hear them, and their stupid air horns that two of the nuts brought , and I then missed seeing my daughter get her diploma because of the people that had no respect for anybody else and blocked our view. All the while our police force stood calmly by at the corners of the gym and were out in twilight zone somewhere. :madman::madman: At least these police tried to restore some decency to the event.

 

Now, that is obnoxious....I just want to let everyone know that in my post above...we were not at all like that. It was clapping and yelling way to go and that was yet. And like I stated, no other names were called until it was quiet again. Our celebrating only lasted about 10 seconds.

 

I am really sorry that you had to put up with that. Air horns should have never been allowed.

To be fair, there is very little that is fun about graduation ceremonies. I actually think I would prefer surgery to attending one.

My thought process on surgery is that I am at the very least unconscious through the whole thing and in a comfortable position. At a graduation I am hot, crowded, uncomfortable and bored while random people prattle on about stuff that really matters little to the graduates and their families.

While the arrests cannot be justified, I really, really hate people who scream and make noise during graduation. It's very rude and only serves to make one look foolish.

I agree, the arrests were over the top, but rude people need to learn a lesson. It's totally unfair to those that can't hear their graduate's name called because of all the obnoxious behavior.

No way they should have been arrested but I do understand them being asked to leave. Although pausing an extra 5 seconds after each name doesn't sound like a big deal think about a school like Henderson that has roughly 550 seniors each year. That is an extra 45 mins that it would take to finish. Then think about a school with 1000 seniors.

 

Not sure how you can so there is "no way" they should have been arrested. Like someone else said we don't know the entire story. They could have gotten physical or anything after they were asked to leave.

Well Having graduated in a class of about 400. I was never so glad to get the heck out of dodge our graduation was about 3 hours there was alot of noise going on but that didn't seem to bother us we just wanted to get out of there.

This is crazy and I for one would have probably got tagged with a resisting arrest if I would have been pulled out of thier, what a crock. Barring any physically dangerouse behavior and warning or a go wait outside should have been more than sufficient.
