If you are talking about lettuce with hot bacon grease dripped over it, then my Granny called that "killed down" lettuce.

Wow. Intentionally eating bacon grease. I'll bet there are cardiologists all over the country that love to hear about this recipe. :D

Buttermilk and hot cornbread. If I were on death roll that would be my last request. Nothing like it!!!!

Wilted lettuce,with bacon and green onions. Served with fried potatoes, brown beans and made from scratch buttermilk cornbread.

I was raised on this type of cooking...nothing better.:thumb:

I have come up with a healthier version for the "wilted" lettuce. Use hot chicken broth instead of the bacon greese....not as good , but better for you and real tasty.:ylsuper:

A beach and a margarita.

I hear ya sista! :ylsuper::ylsuper::ylsuper::ylsuper:

Oh and beer....and or wine! :D

A sack of White Castle cheeseburgers and a ice cold Miller Lite!
"I want 30 sliders, an order of fries, and a large Diet Pepsi" :jump:
