Anyone remember Van Leunens?

Featured Replies

I worked at VanLeunen's/Chinatown 1968, 1969, 1970 the Marine Corp and worked in 1974 for a short time. We used to have some mean snowball fights in the parking lot with the Food Mart guy's when we were getting

carts to bring in. I loved that place and had many good time's and friend's whom I still see today. WOW I was just a kid. JD

I forgot about Robert Hall's on Madison Ave in Covington.

Wow blast to the past. I remember going into those places when I was little with my parents.

I would go to Van Leunen's and then hit good old WALDO PEPPERS on the way home! Awesome pizza. Man I miss that place! Of course I was riding my BMX bike at the time!

I remember when the "Old" Waldo Pizza's was Village Inn Pizza. Got my way through college working there.

Can anyone remember what it was before then??? I can. I remember my mother saying "thats where the wild kids hang out."

It was Dempsey's Pizza prior to Village Inn. I hung out at Waldo's and thew were our Softball Sponsor for years at Rolling Hills and Softball City. What a great place to hang out. JD
