May 19, 200818 yr And yet as silly as it may sound to some, it is the religious belief of many. I don't think religion per se should be taught in schools because the question arises, which religion should be taught? However, I would be very content if we would stop discouraging and attacking religious beliefs in our schools. Only then will we have true religious freedom. I believe that our earth was created by God. However I do not believe that there is any scientific evidence to prove this. That is why I believe it should not be taught in schools. You can't force kids to learn about a religious belief that all of them might not even believe in.
May 19, 200818 yr Personally, I don't mind the concepts taught in the sciences regarding the evolution of species. There is no question that things have evolved over the years. It's the big bang theory specifically that I feel is just as much pseudoscience as creationism is - and takes just as much faith to believe. The big bang theory and the theory of evolution are two completely different theories. However there is a lot of evidence to support both. Neither are 100% fact, but both do have a lot of support.

You can't force kids to learn about a religious belief that all of them might not even believe in. I personally believe that is where I am responsible to teach my children about the creation, to take them to church and to do scripture study with them in my home. I would never expect the schools to teach my kids this, however you have kids today that will never get to hear about it and be fortune enough to have that type of teaching and experience through the home and family.

May 19, 200818 yr I never accused you of being wrong, did I? You were looking right at me when you said it. :irked: Seriously, you quoted me then made your statements.
May 19, 200818 yr How in the heck is creationism and evolution compatible? There is scientific evidence to back up evolution. Creationism is a pseudoscience which takes a lot of faith to believe in. You can't teach faith in school.I believe that it is not unreasonable to say that God created everything through evolution.

You can't teach faith in school. It is called the THEORY of Evolution. A theory is something that a person believes might be true, but does not have enough evidence to prove it.
May 19, 200818 yr It is called the THEORY of Evolution. A theory is something that a person believes might be true, but does not have enough evidence to prove it. That's not true. A theory is a lot more powerful then you'd imagine. A scientific theory is "a testable model of the manner of interaction of a set of natural phenomena, capable of predicting future occurrences or observations of the same kind, and capable of being tested through experiment or otherwise verified through empirical observation." Theories have plenty of evidence.
May 19, 200818 yr where would the canadate stand on well fare? Education? Big time on education, not so sure on welfare. I don't think a society with welfare benefits as large as our's really benefits the poor, and allows them an opportunity to gain wealth as easily as we would in a society with less taxes. Welfare creates such a tax burden on firms and households that certain things just get lost, such as new job opportunities.

But, where is the provable facts that evolution happens. I mean if evolution really happened, why would it stop, man. Wouldn't it keep going on for ever, wouldn't we see animals in all the phases of evolution all the time. It's like that missing link thing that can't be found.

This is going to be too much. IMO animals are the phases of evolution, just the time it takes to evolve is a lot longer than we can see. Once again, though, I am not going to say that the theory of evolution is perfect.

I think I am going to like it here, it's like a parallel universe where I am me, but I don't know who you are. It's cool. I have some bro's who are looking for that Big Foot guy, if they find him, that will maybe help us with that missing link guy.
