May 7, 200818 yr Maybe if they were in the NFC. I actually believe the NFC is catching back up, and in a big way.

May 7, 200818 yr Author It can be done. Liquid lunch for you too? Have you looked at the schedule.....brutal. I have a hard time looking at the schedule and seeing the playoffs as a possiblity. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if the Bengals only win 2 games next year.
May 7, 200818 yr There are only 4 games on Cincy's schedule that I'd pencil in as losses without a second thought and 3 of them are road games...@ NYGiants (Week 3), @ Dallas (Week 5), @ Indy (Week 14) and the Jaguars at home (Week 9). And, the way the NFL is from year-to-year and even week-to-week, it's not impossible that they could win one of those games. That leaves 12 games, 7 at home and 5 away, that Cincinnati has a shot to win, IMO. I'm not buying into the poor old hopeless Bengals line. If Chad Johnson doesn't get traded, and at this point it doesn't seem that he's going to, he'll be playing football for Cincinnati in 2008. And, if he does, they'll have a formidable offense combined with an improved defense for a team that won 7 games last year. I'm not saying I'd pick the Bengals to make the playoffs, but they're not on the short list of teams that are hopeless.
May 7, 200818 yr The Bengals have some talent. There defense must be able to stop the run and big play. Hopefully the new DC will have a clue about how to slow down or even stop the running game and big play. I hope Chad sits out, he is cancer.

Blind optimism  I think if Chad does play, he will be such a cancer that the team won't know how to deal with. one winning season in the last 17 years, I like the odds that it continues.
May 7, 200818 yr I think the bungals are looking at a top 5 pick... Will never happen as long as Carson is here.

May 8, 200818 yr As bad as last season was, the Bengals were just a few plays away from 9-7 or 10-6. They have a tough schedule, but so does everyone in their division. If the Bengals go 4-2 in their division, they will have a great shot at winning it.
