I've said in other posts, it was a down year for Louisville, which made for a down year state wide.

One for what from the field??? He shot a lot and they weren't pretty.

 

You tell me, one for what? If you're going to say he took a lot of shots, give me a stat. His numbers in the game look pretty good to me.

I obviously don't know. I do know he made one field goal. I do know he took numerous shots. I do know he didn't look good shooting the ball in the game (despite winning the 3 pt contest).

Just saying I wouldnt put it past you to build up Henderson like that.

It did hurt that Bud Mackey did not get to finish out high school this year and be on the team. You would have had 3 of the top 50 players in the nation on the team.

Obviously, losing Mackey hurt, and the possibility of having three top fifty guys on the team would have been rare in Ky. But, if Louisville produces the normal amount of D-I talent this year, the class becomes really good.

So guess, is "numerous" two shots or 12? Remember, he did get fouled a lot, and none of those are counted as field goal attempts. I thought he passed up a few shots he should have taken.

When is the last time Louisville had a more than a couple D-1 players? I can't remember very many in recent memory. Also, tell me the last class in Kentucky that was stronger than this one.

What happened to Dexter Hyman from Male? He was quite an athlete and a warrior when I saw him play.

Without a doubt most talented area in the state. In the past one of the most talented in the country. Street & Smith doesnt have an all metro team for Louisville in their magazine for nothing. Ill), Terrez Dewalt(EKU), Brandon Wardlow(Southern U.), Ronny Dawn(Marshall) Micheal Haney(EKU). Sure Im leaving someone out but oh well. Class had decent size too. This years class is lacking in the post.

My point was in the past several years Louisville has not produced big time talent like they used to. This maybe the last really good year in Louisville and that was what 6 years ago. I do believe its picking up. Jtown has really became a good basketball program and wil perenially be good IMO. Also, Ballard is always good.

Can't really argue wtih you about the talent being down, but it does go in cycles.Usually even in a down year they produce 3 or 4 DI players. May take 2 years (juco) to get there but....like this year Iroquois has a kid that probably goes DI after juco, Eastern had a big kid that'll probably go juco, The kid from Manuel that's going to Morehead St. would probably go DI with exposure from juco, and PRP's other big kid too. So there's always some talent even if its low level.

What do you think about all the talent J-Town has assembled. Remember when nobody talked about them. Heard they have the top middle school kid coming next year too.
