Arrez Henderson should be on this team, so no complaint there.

 

I've never seen Sorrell play, so I can't comment on his suitability for the team. But I have a hard time with the idea that there are 12 better players in the state than Edmondson, who has several Division I offers.

 

Then again, University Heights guys don't always seem to get much due in these kinds of things ...

 

I don't think there is 12 better players than Edmonson either but you have to fill a roster with a variety of positions. I think we (KY) have the guards to compete with IN but i don't think we have the size inside. This is why they tried to go with some bigger players like Aaron Morris or Victor Moses. No question Edmonson is better but Morris/Moses have the size, and we need that on our roster.

Man I hope we get some folks crashing the boards or its going to be ugly! Heard OH killed us underneath. I know it was a different team but the people we added arent really low post players. Kinda nervous!

Agreed. I was at the KY-OH game and Ohio was too big and too deep. I think Miller and Hopson will have to do some big time rebounding for us to win. Hopefully Miller can use his strength and athleticism to do this and Lord knows Hopson can get his head above the rim; he should be able to snatch the ball over anyone if he tries.

Congrats to everyone that made the team! And to the invitees too its a heck of an honor to even be invited. Glad to see Tyler Brown made it! Hope to see him starting or at least contributing. This game is so big! Only All-star game that is SUPER competitive! Well from the standpoint of playing hard! Indianas boys have been owning us. Wish KY would put more infasis(?) on this game. Have a good showin in this and you're a player. Was at the game when Lofton dropped 42 and couldnt understand how he was headed outta state! Courtney Lee was in that game too and I couldn't understand how he wasn't Mr. Basketball. OOPs, forgot AJ Ratliff signed with IU!

Kentucky Mr. Basketball Chris Lofton torched Indiana for 41 points last week in Owensboro, and appeared to be on his way to another spectacular night. Over the span of about two-and-a-half minutes mid-way through the first half, Lofton hit three difficult three-pointers in a row. But after hitting the third Lofton landed on an Indiana player’s foot and rolled his ankle. The University of Tennessee signee left the game with 6:23 remaining and was eventually carried to the locker room. Lofton finished the game with 13 points in 13 minutes.

 

Yeah the boy (Lofton) dropped 42 on the Hoosiers!!! Owensboro Sportscenter,summer of '04. One of the most ridiculous performances I ever saw in person. Had heard the stories but I went in real skeptical because he was labeled a shooter! Had visions of Carrier and Rick Jones! (Oh NO) Came out with visions of REX, A. Houston, and Ricky Farmer! The man hit like 9 threes but also showed a very decent handle. Shoulda used it more his Sr. year at UT IMO. Anyway he hit his first three from beyond NBA range and it rained from there. Really was mad at Tubby and Rick after that! Great basketball player.

Home and away. Franfort, Louisville, Owensboro, and Bowling Green have hosted at one time or another. Not sure about Lex. Naptown hosts IN's game.

Honestly he wasn't very impressive in the Sweet 16 either this year. I have seen him play very well, but he doesn't seem to be playing as well as of late. I am not sure which guard he needs to be on the team over. I have heard Tyler Brown had the best tryout of anyone there. Slone has had a pretty amazing season. Henderson is a no-brainer as well as Mack. And obviously there needs to be some big men. Morris and Moses are very athletic and are both probably 2 inches away from being D-1 big men.
