I was there today and got BP's foul ball :D

E5 made a few nice plays today but really botched it in the 10th but came back in the bottom of the inning to smack that bomb, then freaking Bako smacked one out and Jr comes up clutch, awesome game, too bad I was soaking wet all day but had a great time talking baseball with the ball boy on the visitors side

And almost 2 errors, almost a complete day from him! Dusty says we will need him if we are going to win it all. Hes gonna hit 25-30 home runs but not win a gold glove, but we all knew that.

:lol::lol:

How about:

Hopper/Freel

Keppy

Jr.

Dunn

BP

Votto

E5

Ross/Bako/Valentin

P

I would kinda like to see Hopper get more consistent playing time and see what he can do, rather than just an AB here and there.

:sssh:

We are a game out of last place, how long will it take us to make the run and get there?

I think that we possibly could there by the end of the week if not sooner. :D

This (Our Reds) just gets to the point that you have to laugh........

It is the skippers job to boost the morale.

Okay, as long as we are on the smiling side of the scoreboard a lot.

The Dodgers hope Brad Penny (2-2, 2.96 ERA) can help them bounce back when he takes the mound on Monday looking for his seventh consecutive win over Cincinnati.

Penny is 6-0 with a 2.44 ERA in his last seven starts against the Reds, including four straight victories in Cincinnati.

Cincinnati’s Matt Belisle is scheduled to come off the disabled list Monday to make his first start of the year after being sidelined since March with a strained left forearm.

Belisle was 8-9 with a 5.32 ERA in 30 starts last season. The right-hander is 0-0 with a 13.50 ERA in five relief appearances against the Dodgers.

Yep, I was thinking the same thing, BUT the Reds are due for a WINNING STREAK! :ylsuper:

EE is horrible on the hot corner.

How about a platoon of him and Votto at 3B, Freel starts and you have him in the lineup to create some runs. Put Bruce in CF.

And also for fun.

3B Freel

SS Keppinger

RF Jr

2B Phillips

1B EE/Votto

LF Dunn

CF Bruce

C

P

No comments on moving EE to 1B.

We have heard the move Dunn to 1B because of his horrible defense.

Why not move EE to 1B?

I didn't take your question seriously. I figured you had to be joking. Why in the world would you want to platoon two of your best offensive players?

Yout two best offensive players on a team struggling offensively might not be mean they are strong offensive players.

This team is struggling to produce runs and Freel at least can create some runs and put pressure on the pitcher.

In addition, EE is as bad defensively as Dunn, if not worse.

They both are certainly much better offensive options than Freel. Encarnacion has shown the past two years that he will put up some good numbers, and Votto has proved all thru the minors, and so far this year that he is going to hit. No way you play Freel over either player. Freel isn't exactly a defensive wizard at 3B.

Can you long term afford to keep EE at 3B?

EE has shown he can put up numbers when the Reds are no longer in contention.

I agree with Votto but unfortunately, RIGHT NOW, they have too many LH hitters.

Now I think you won't to keep him long term as LH's may be gone next season.
