Why put them on the smae side. I think that they both beat some pretty good teams to get to the final. Based on the game they played last year it would have been a shame to of had to go to eithers stadium and watch that game a week or two earlier. Besides the game at PJCS had like 15000 fans at it. I am not 100% certain but I think the second highest total was the Lou. Central/Belfry game at like 8000. At $8 a ticket that is a lot of green we are asking the KHSAA to pass on.

Lexington Christian may also have been better than some of the 6A teams in Lexington last year.
I wouldn't go that far. I don't know who else in town LCA would have beaten ... the numbers disadvantage would take a toll.

I have no dog in this fight, however, I find it funny. X and T supporters are crying no fair when put on the same side. Publics cry no fair when they are on opposite sides. Is there really any difference to the complaint?

Since we have 6 classes, let's make everyone happy and create a 7th class. X and T only and you put them on opposite sides of the bracket. Winner takes all, and everyone is happy. I know, don't thank me now, I should just be in charge of the KHSAA. Just food for thought.

What about using power ratings from last year to settle the debate?

I think you are missing the point, it is the constant juggling around that doesn't pass the smell test.

You may be right, but Tates Creek and Dunbar were not very good at all.

Neither would LCA, playing against a 6A schedule.

No, I do understand the point. However, I do find the irony in the argument when I step back and look at it. I understand perfectly well the intentions of the KHSAA and who rules that roost. Rarely does a KHSAA memorandum pass the smell test.

Final Cantrall ratings ...

Henry Clay ... 88.1

Lexington Catholic ... 82.6

Lafayette ... 71.7

Dunbar ... 63.1

Tates Creek ... 59.5

Bryan Station ... 57.7

Lexington Christian ... 54.8

Thanks west, just for added measure, what was Beechwood's final Cantrall rating?

Power ratings are trash and everyone knows this. BCS is the biggest example of power rating gone bad...very bad!
