Alot the the players on defense were very young. Its a major adjustment from middle school to high school. Some players also converted positions Ex( linebacker to defensive end). With experience under their belt this year should be different.

 

Good point. That's one of those things you have to see happen to see improvement. Certainly there's potential for much improvement from last year to this year. But the players will have to execute it on the field. Hopefully they will.:thumb:

A little rusty at first. After the first seris is was all Garrard. The final was 24-6. Defense looked solid. Middle linebacker Michael Riley was out due to a knee injury. He returns Monday.

West Jessamine.

 

I didn't make it, but good to see that Garrard had some success. They should have been better than West and it appears they were. Garrard has quite a bit of speed in the backfield, which likely hurt West Jessamine.

 

Next week they scrimmage at Paris if I'm not mistaken. Then they open with Bell County the following week.

Are you sure the score wasnt 24-18 at the end of the 3rd quarter when the varsity teams stopped playing?
