I think the 34th districts(?) With Cov. Cath., Beechwood, Holy Cross, and Holmes are tough in baseball and basketball too. Any thoughts?

With HC looking like they may surprise some people this year, I would agree this is the toughest district right now. Holmes tough in baseball?!?

Holmes is very weak in baseball. What District is Ryle in and what teams are with them?

Not sure I agree. The district with Boone Cty, Ryle, Conner and St Henry is no slouch. With Holmes not being much of a factor this year I might actually take the 33rd from top to bottom over the 34th. Clearly these two districts (33rd and 34th) are much stronger then the teams that make up the 35th and 36th.

For sure. I'll take Ryle in their district. Boone second.

You've got the district wrong. The 34th is Dixie, Lloyd, Villa, and Ludlow. The 35th is CCH, BW, HC, and Holmes. ;)

Thank you i was not sure what district they were in, but in that district I'll take Dixie and Ludlow, then Lloyd, and bring up the rear Villa.

No no no, Lloyd, Villa, Dixie, then Ludlow. That's how the 34th district will end this year.

I don't think Lloyd has lost s game this year, and Dixie hasn't won one yet.

Would it be fair to say the level of competition might have something to do with that? By the way Lloyd has lost 2 games.

As far as this thread I would guess the 34th isn't the toughest district in the 9th. I would say 35th and 33rd each have at least 3 teams that could win the district.

I witnessed three of the four teams in the 33rd district play Saturday and if those games are a barometer for this current season, then I will have to rank the 33rd thusly:

1. Ryle

2. Conner

3. Boone

4. St. Henry

Clearly CovCath, Beechwood and a surprisingly good Cov Holy Cross, makes the 35th District, the best baseball district in the Ninth Region. If Cov Holmes could return to the quality of baseball they played back in my day, the 35th would clearly be one of the toughest baseball district in the Commonwealth, from top to bottom.

Villa finishing second? Do they know that in order to win a game they first have to avoid being run-ruled every game out. I dont see how you pick them to be 2nd, they have been run-ruled by some bad teams this year. My prediction is Dixie, Lloyd, Ludlow, then Villa. Dixie will win the district because Lloyd, ludlow and villa will not be able to hit Nichols.

I was thinking of Bishop Brossart... So it goes Lloyd, Dixie, Ludlow, Villa. But in any case, Lloyd had a better team than Dixie last year, and Lloyds team this year is pretty darn good. A lot better than last years tem. To my knowledge, they have not lost a game to a KY team this year.

There win over Conner is good but the other 2 wins against Dayton and Calvary don't impress me, but as the season continues and they face better opponents and if they win, ill jump on the ship that Lloyd is better than dixie. Another thing that shoked me is that they beat Dayton 29-1. What coach allows there team to run the score up like that, that is horrible!

For any team other than Dixie, to make it out of the 34th, they will have to pray to get lucky, not to have to face (Dixie) Nichols in that first round game. No team in the 34th can beat Nichols and not many teams even in the Ninth Region want to face Nichols in a winner take all game. He is that good, and pitching is the name of a game called, baseball!
