Pauly over Ives? Ives got varsity time last year while Bondick was hurt, and I don't think Pauly will play much until next year.

You very well may be right. But Pauly is a very good player. We'll see.

Goodness knows with the wealth of young talent they have, who knows who will develop over the summer and into the fall. You would think that Downing, Hamm and Middleton are locks.

This could be one of Scott Co. better lineups. Alot hinges on Chad Jackson, they need some one to handle the ball. If he comes then I believe this will be a team that can be a heavy favorite to win the state championship. I think all five of those players could play division 1 somewhere. If Jackson doesnt come you could possibly have Matt Walls little brother seeing some playing time at the point.

I will give my full take on this.

 

IMO, Mitch Shover is a natural PG, and has been his entire life. But since Maile and Shover will be the only two experienced scorers, I feel like Coach L might want Shover on the wing. I don't think that Sorrell is a point guard, and might not have the defensive quickness to crack the starting lineup. Anyhow, Ives as well as played the 2G for years (with Mitch at the 1). Which is why it is possible for the next PG in line, Max Pauly, to be a starting guard for CovCath. But who knows. After Maile and Shover, you have 4 seniors and 6 juniors that will have a possibility of playing varsity, just a matter of who steps up in the off season.

I'd say he will be the 2nd guard off of the bench. Since it is going to be hard to define PG's and SG's with next years team, I think Shover, Ives, and Pauly will be ahead of him, but he may be ahead of Pauly.

I don't see Shover moving positions, he scored well from the point last season while Bondick was out.
