March 27, 200818 yr I think that would show the ACC as the dominant womens conference... In basketball it is the big east, but overall I would agree with UNC's dominance of Soccer also Maryland and Virginia with lacrosse.

This is the third year of them having the biggest conference, the first two was when FL had its best team ever, and you can't break down a conference into National Tournament Titles as the barometer of a dominant conference... Weak argument...

Where else do you see the 6 and 9 seeds in the conference tourney making it to the Sweet 16??? Read the title of this thread.....it's not "Big East, an overall solid conference"...it says "Big East total dominance". I think we all agree that the B E is a solid conference, and top to bottom I think is the best. But to Mobaar has been pointing out that they are not dominate....and is right on.

I said the same thing to Big East folk last week and how Big East only lost one game in Mens first week of NCAA. Last time a checked the did not give the Trophy away after the first round!!!
