Why is everyone ignoring the fact that If u haven't seen Mason Co be cocky there had to be motivation. I dont think anyone was sitting down by the cheering section(especially a clark co fan) to hear all the rude comments being made by the students. Montgomery Co Student Section was a bit cocky so again they got what they deserved. Mason has never acted like that in a basketball game so I guess we can all say Montgomery is just as cocky but thats okay since they aren't Mason CO. Nobody has yet to comment on the cocky section of Montgomery

 

That happens. It's part of the game, whether it is right or wrong. As a player, you should act with class and be above the rude remarks. If anything, take it out on them by beating them bad(which they did). Mason Co. student aren't the classiest either. Nobody's students are going to be all respectful to the opposing team(whether it be right or wrong, it's the truth). I don't care what student section said, the player shouldn't react.

I know the time that Setty hit the 3 and then did the tomahawk chop, it was right in front of the student section and one of the kids, might as well have been in his shorts with him. He yelled something to Setty and he knocked it down. Granted I don't think it was the right thing to do, but emotions flying high, high school kids, things are going to happen. I wouldn't call it cocky or classless.

Once last year when the administration called Mason Co. students were called into the office and were told to act with more class, they turned around the next game and dressed up as the administration (O'Hearn, Appleman, Middleton ect.) Not to be rude or anything just as a little humor. I was O'Hearn. (Even he said I did a good job!)

:laugh: That's pretty funny. And I just used Masons' students as an example since they were the opposing team. No student section will be all class.

I thought it was a great idea, and so did many of the Mason fans. They laughed as we walked around introducing ourselves. I just want to say that, Coach O'Hearn, Mr. Appleman and Mr. Middleton and the rest, were great sports about it. They all got a good laugh out of it. The good ol' day.

It doesnt really even matter. The Mason won easily. Game over. Nothing more. We should just drop the Mason being cocky part and Downing over reacting. These events didnt change the outcome of the game.

Well GRC if its part of the game i am sure u became real familar with players acting cocky last year with one of your own right

If your talking about Preston I don't ever recall him being classless towards opposing fans or anything like that. It's ok to play with emotion and get hyped during a game, it's not ok to taunt the other team or fans IMO.

We did as about a good of job as we could. Even had a blue jacket like Appleman's. But hey, we tried and everyone had a good time with it. Like we intended. :thumb:
