After a 3-8 season, why are they ranked so high?

 

To my knowledge, a lot of skill players back. They run a wide open attack and Coach Lucas and the rest of the coaches are pretty good at getting all they can from their players. Remember, just a couple of years ago, they had 2 or 3 deep runs in the playoffs before they ran into Mason Co.

The two teams that lost to Mason County and Belfry were both very well stacked teams. This team this year has some good atheletes and talent and have played together for awhile. I agree Coach Lucas gets the best out of what he has. They have a tough beginning of the schedule and play Central Hardin, Beechwood, Lexington Christian and then Newport not an easy task to start out with. I wish them the best. JD

This might be but how is this year suppose to be so special to already have them ranked in the top ten. Espescially in front of Hc who is completely underated. With pretty much their entire defense back and a completey new and improved offense.

My sentiments exactuly, I mean Lloyd has lost 15 staters from a below average team and their JV team was just average. I know Roger Herthel and Seydrick Walker are good but stats are going to look good playing a weak scedule and throwing the ball 50 percent if not more a game.

h-dothework-c how can you possibly say Lloyd has a weak schedule when HC plays almost the same schedule. Since the poll is by the coaches I really think they know what they are talking about. I will agree Lloyd's team last year went 3-8 thru alot of controversy and all they held it together and became a team at the end of the year. Lloyd's coaching staff has put together a nice team and they will be competitive. For the ranking of # 10 it maybe a stretch until they go thru the first four game's of their season. Its not like HC blew Lloyd off the field last year. JD

I was at the Scott Scrimmage and the QB for Llyod looked very impressive he throws a great ball. I think he was wearing #12 but he looked real good.

Maybe not the second time but that was just because of the atmosphere of a play off game. First time HC had five int and two from what I remember were taken back; and from what I hear Loyyd's offense is suppose to be the strongest part?

But we also don't schedule llolipops like Dayton, Ludlow, and Belleuve. And all though we didn't beat Llyod very convincingly we still did what matters, we beat them....twice. Please don't take this as me looking past Lloyd this year, because I'm not at all.

I love this guy ^ so far being a "Rookie" and all.

Yes they did throw 5 ints and 2 went back to score. Funny thing is that they only lost by 10. Think about if those 2 ints didn't go back for a TD :eek: yes the offense is the strongest do you have a hard time believing that???

You can call Dayton and Bellevue lollipops however they both were ranked in the top 10 in class A football last year and I am sure they appreciated your comment's as well h-dothework-c. When Lloyd did play the 4A and 5A team's they could compete then now I would say no. I will just let the player's on Lloyd's team speak for themselves by playing football on Friday nights and let the marbles lay where they be. Good luck to HC and I wish them the best. JD

Boy how quickly people seem to forget. Now all of a sudden Dayton, Ludlow and Bellevue are lollipops. I remember when those lollipops beat HC like a drum. I don't recall reading where any of those schools referred to HC as a lollipop.

I wish Lloyd had a tougher schedule at the end of the season but at the beginning they have Central, #2 in AAA then Beechwood, #2 in A and Lex. Christian #1 in A. I don't think that is a weak schedule.
