But according to the 9th region, Ryle is #2 and Beechwood is #4 behind Cov Cath(#1) and Boone(#3):confused:

Now that I've had a chance to match up Ryle's schedule with the current pre-season rankings, it appears to be quite strong. By my count, they have 9 games scheduled against top 25 teams, including 2 in the Top 5:

It doesn't matter how many regular season wins you have ,although it looks better for a record .It all matters how many you win at the end.Sorry to bring up bad memories but ,look at Shelby Co. last year .A losing record going into districts I believe .You just never know .

Nope, but it more than helps you get prepared for the end of the season tourney when you face competition of this caliber.

I see that Somerset ranked at #20, but no love for my Rockcastle Rockets. They beat Somerset 2 times last season. I have a lot of respect for Coach Grundy and his program, but we did beat them 2 out of 3 times last season and we have Tanner Perkins and Crew returning.

 

Rockcastle is a VERY hard team to beat when Perkins is on the mound. Rockcastle will have a very good 1-2 punch with Tanner Perkins and Dakota Smith.

When are the polls updated next? There should be one coming up in the next week wouldn't you think?

Actually Lexington has 5 teams in the top 10...4 in the top 6. Maybe it just shows you how strong the 11th region and more specifically lexington baseball is.

Lawrence County! I will be shocked if they don't finish the season at Applebee's!

 

North Oldham is my pick to have a solid year for a team that gets no pub.

Campbell County should get votes before Brossart, the wheels are starting to come off of Brossart's Sports Programs.

 

They have lost a lot, this is just not baseball but all sports. Putting them in front of Campbell County in a poll is insane.

 

Polls do not mean a whole lot, that is why they play the game.

 

Northern Kentucky has some very good teams this year.

I think it is a little unfair to say Campbell is no good at all. They should win their far share of games. If the right people are on the mound against a particular opponent, like the match ups for any other school, they will be fine.

That also depends on all other schools too. So really what your saying is the coaching staff needs to understand when to use each player at certain times.
