I thought it was a good effort at trying to show why the teams from the North are not represented well in the AP Poll. That is what you have been harping on for the last 3 days, right? Westsider made a good argument and it was based on some guesswork, but it seems to me like it was educated guesswork, something you wouldn't understand. Why don't you just be honest and say "I'm mad because Pikeville ain't getting no love from BGP" instead of trying to argue with the only guys who get the polls halfway right every week? I'd like to see the Panthers up there in the polls every week and I know it would be a source of pride for my son. But I have told him to keep playing hard and take care of business and the rest will fall into place. Then it will mean so much more when you actually deserve the respect you get. westsider, you are right on the money. I appreciate your comments and insights. We might play top notch comp in the PCB but we ought to win some of them before we go using them as an indicator of how good we are. We like to crow about our record each year and gripe about our rankings when the truth of the matter is we are not the same Pikeville we were in the 80's. We experienced something special during that run that we may never duplicate. We had great coaching and an enormous amount of talent from here and there and everywhere. We kicked some major butt. But that was then and this is now. I don't see anybody in the current top ten we can beat. If we want to get our name on the list, we need to shut up, buckle down and earn our way back on there. Playing decent competition and getting consistently beaten won't do it in my opinion.
