Its hilarious to see how many people from Campbell County, both schools are bitter that Scott went to their terroritory and won districts. Wow.

 

Hey I guess the Campbell County team doesn't always get the calls?

A parent taunting students and running on the floor in front of the student section is a very risky circumstance. This is not the same as a relative of a ball player being escorted out of the Lex Cath tournament for being a loud mouth jerk. This is an act that could turn into something more. Defend what you want and will, feel the way you do, does not matter nor justify what has happened. From what I hear this person will have an interesting day at work very soon.

What is becoming painlessly obvious is that we all have some "bad apples" among us, who give each of our programs a black eye from time to time.

 

There is a saying somewhere that goes something like "The actions of a few affect so many" - or something like that.

 

We are not proud of the incident at LexCath, and it sounds like the Scott nation is rather embarrassed over the actions of their fan/employee who crossed the line following the win over Campbell County.

 

We all wear rose colored glasses when it comes to our own programs, and we tend to be defensive by nature. Unfortunately, situations such as these are facts of life and once the damage is done - the damage is done!

 

Incidentally, it was a great game. To overcome a recent 27 point loss to the Camels, while taking the back-to-back buzzer beater route is nothing short of miraculous!

 

With Pendleton County winning the 38th, Scott taking down the 37th, and Clark blasting Montgomery County one must wonder if indeed the basketball gods of the 10th Region have gone crazy!

 

I guess we will find out next week.

I don't think the people of Campbell County are bitter about the loss. I think we would all admit that we would rather be playing Augusta first round rather than Clark, but that is not how it happened. Our boys put forth their best effort last night and it fell a little short.

As for sportsmanship, I saw first hand our superintendent offer to the Kenton County super the chance to present his team with their first district winning trophy. That did not have to be done, it just shows the realtionship and respect that the two county districts have for each other. As for the blue hoody guy, I am pretty sure that both superintendents would have no trouble dealing with any employee that would act that way in public. Someone just needs to let them know who the clown is from the game.

Just as in the varsity district the Eagles JVs (Smith) hit a shot at the buzzer to beat Brossart and put them in position to play Campbell County and win the JV district.

 

IF Smith fails to connect on that shot in the JV semis, Brossart or Campbell win the JV district, and again IF Murray misses from the coffin corner in the Brossart varsity game the Scott Eagles would have never known how close thay had come to winning the district tournament.

 

It's truly a game of inches!

I might be mistaken but I think the freshmen games were extremely close between these three as well in the districts. Games should be close and competitive for next couple of years when these schools get together!:banana:
