Back to the game....this was not a well played basketball game by either team. Give Scott credit for grinding it out and making free throws and shots when needed. I was surprised at how ineffective Campbell was offensively. I don't know whether to give credit to Scott defense or Campbell just having a really bad night.

 

Scott was terrible at the line until the last minute when needed. Campbell could have put game away at the line.

 

If you were a basketball purist this was not a game you would have enjoyed.

 

As far as the after game issues I believe what goes around comes around. Scott seems to have some issues over the past couple of games with a fan being escorted out of the Holy Cross game, an alledged incident after the Brossart game and now this.

 

Looks like the rivalries in this relatively new district are starting to heat up! With Brossart, Scott and Campbell being relatively young it could be an interesting couple of years.

First off, they reveiwed the types no coach ran on the floor after the Brossart game, thats sour grapes, and if a Scotts parents dad ran on the court after tonights game, unfortunate as it is, it takes nothing away from the coaches or players of the team, so to say thats a reflection of the program in unwarrented. Sour grapes, it looks as if people from CC are upset that a team from Kenton County won their district. Again congrats Scott and CC from making regions, to take away from the performance from both teams is stupid.

 

Not sure what "types" you reviewed but it did happen, and many students & parents can attest to the profanities he was spewing to the student and then parent's sections. Sounds like the Scott AD needs to get control of his parents and coaches--I guarentee Coach Carr is embrassed by both incidents!!

 

I doubt anyone from Campbell County gives a hoot what county Scott is from, only that the Camels came in 2nd in a year they should have won easily?? Scott has been to the district finals something like six years in a row, and no one cared what county they were from?? Doubt the Brossart faithful cared what county Scott was from, only that they weren't able to get a chance to defend their District title? Sounds like an inferiority complex to me??

I was stunned to read that the Eagles were only 4 of 14 from the line up until the end, and still actually had a chance to win a low scoring game like this??

Athletic Director Mueller, shame on you! Yes, I am calling you out. YOU know exactly who this parent is and YOU asked him to sit down. YOU saw the way he acted and then return to the stands half way up high fiving the people around him.

 

By the way, this jack is an employee of the Kenton County School System and evidently has a child who is a freshman on the team. I understand this idiot is a guidance counselor in the school system. If that is true, Good Lord Help Us.

He taunted the players and then the students, even calling them down by waving them to come down. Good thing they didn't. They would have kicked his eagle wings back to Taylor Mill.

 

Shame on you for being so selfish to take away a great effort by the Scott program. Thank you Camel students and players for not responding to this moron and showing more class than he demonstrated.

For you to put the blame on him for something he had no control over is the most ametuer thing I have ever seen. His main job at the games is to control the students, and correct me if I am wrong, but I believe it was a parent who acted a fool. It's not Mr. Mueller's job to control parents.

Great phantom charge call or should I say flop at the end. Once again a referee tries to make himself part of the outcome. Camels up three with the ball and he doenst call the hold of the jersey. The play before he called a hold on the same exact play that put Nerl on the line. Camels should be up five, but instead give free throws to the eagles.

Not true. There is no bitterness at all. I simply commented that I did witness the jv coach going a little bonkers and shouting at the BBHS players and fans. I also stated that my thoughts were that he just got carried away and hopefully regrets his actions. Coach Code and Coach Carr are friends and I'm sure they will stay that way. Also, here is one Brossart fan that did not mention the incident on the Brossart/SHS thread after the game. There is no bitterness here, trust me. Again, good luck to both teams next week. The draw this afternoon will be huge.

What's up with Scott?? Coach Carr, while a little crazy early on in his head coaching career; has always seemed to conduct himself very well and with taste!! But the things his assistant said and did to the Brossart student section, and then to the parents; and now a parent goes off to the Campbell kids....................Makes you wonder if there's something in the water in Taylor Mill??

It's a shame to take away from Coach Carr and the kid's hard fought victory (s)?? Miss Manners needs to visit the hill in Taylor Mill?? Also congrats to Coach Code on turning around the Campbell program, and maybe they can get that elusive District title next year?? Do agree that maybe the players needed to be thinking about the game plan for Scott, instead of celebrating Brossart's loss to Scott like they'd won the Super Bowl!!

Who is the controlling authority of a school's group if it is not the administration of that school? You really don't know what you are talking about. And, yes it is part of his job to provide for a safe environment. You may want to look into athletic administration responsibilities for that. The most unprofessional thing you may have seen is the employee of your school system. The second most unprofessional thing is the lack of enforcement. Sorry, you are wrong.

A parent taunting students and running on the floor in front of the student section is a very risky circumstance. This is not the same as a relative of a ball player being escorted out of the Lex Cath tournament for being a loud mouth jerk. This is an act that could turn into something more. Defend what you want and will, feel the way you do, does not matter nor justify what has happened. From what I hear this person will have an interesting day at work very soon.
