Spirited effort by Ashland and they should have confidence heading into the regional tournament.

 

Rose Hill lead by 8 to 13 points almost the entire second half. The positive for Rose Hill is that Ashland shot the ball extremely well and lived on the foul line and yet the Royals found a way to win.

 

Kudos to Johnny Bush, Scott Gambill, and Alex Malloy for their outstanding play tonight.

 

It should be noted that 6 of Rose Hill's 13 free throws came when Ashland was fouling to stop the clock.

This one sounds like it was another Classic between these two rivlas :eek:!

Congratulations to the Royals on their first District Championship. Anything can happen in tournament play and Ashland proved that tonight. As I posted in the prediction thread "Rose Hill by just enough" the Hill scored one more point than they needed.

I'm kind of biased so I won't give my opinion, but what do you all think of tonight's officiating?

Thought the game was officiated very well. Consistent calls on both ends of the floor.

I was honored tonight to be able to set with some BGP legends . When you can set and watch a game with RickyP,shooterx3 and scooterbob it makes one very humble.

Saw both teams this year. Closer than I thought it might be. Expecting Rose Hill to pull away at the end.

It really wasn't a close game until the last 30 seconds, final score was the closest Ashland came in the second half

I've got to say great job on sides. As for the Ashland boys, you were just one shot away. And I'm not talking about just that last one either. Not bad when a team beats you by a combined 51 points earlier in the year and you battle them and fight them like you did. I'm proud to say I'm a Tomcat. Congratulations Rose Hill on your first district championship.
