Now that I think about it, the winner of the 35th district will most likely get Bellevue or Villa as they have a 2 out of 3 chance at drawing one of those two.

 

Would be very surprised to see either one of those two against Conner or St Henry in the first round.

But here's the thing. Highlands stars do have good nights every night because you cant shut both down. Dixie is a good team but the cream of the crop is Holmes, Covcath and Highlands.

 

After those 3 its a long shot for anyone else to win the region.

I think Conner, St.henry, and Dixie can beat Highlands if one of them have a off night. Highlands dont have enough horses to keep up. The one thing going for Highlands tho is the D they play is very physical and the way they switch is tough to beat. So Highlands will be tough to beat but not as tough as everyone thinks. This is from what I saw from the 5 times I got to see them play.

But as far as one of them having an off night, I just don't see it happening. Both compliment eachother's games which is why Highlands is so good. If one scores 10, the other scored 20 because many teams in the 9th don;t have the defensive presence to lock down both.

 

Dixie will get in to the semi's of the region unless they meet Holmes or CCH in the first round. But even a first round match up with Conner or St Henry isn't a given.

I wouldn't mind seeing that scenario. Conner is the wild card IMO if they win their district. Being at home, anyone who faces them is going to be in for a tough game.

Seeding is unfair??? How about being in the 35th district. 3 of the top teams in NKY (usually) in the same district. It's almost impossible for Highlands not to make the region. While Holmes, HC, or CovCath will miss out every year.

Holmes will make a very impressive perfprmance in the Regional IMO and will be the 0th Region Representative at Rupp Arena. I expect to see them make it to at least the semi-finals of the state tourney..Go luck Dogs..
