Good game Royals. Might as well win the district now. And before I forget, I would like to take back anything good I said about Billman.

Congratulations to Rose Hill on the victory. It sounds like the game went just about as expected. It's good to see the Royals getting production from just about everyone. :thumb:

Congrats to The Hill on the win. They are clearly the class of this district. I agree that the game was a little rough at times last night, but some of you guys need to realize just how lucky the 64th district was to have a state tournament official assigned to the game. ;)

Rose Hill played with the most poise and confidence that I've seen from a Rose Hill team in a long time. Boyd County tried a box and one on Euton and the other Royals just calmly knocked down open shots all night. When they went to straight zone, Euton bombed them from deep. It just didn't matter what Boyd County threw at them, they had an answer.

Coach Fraley has them peaking at the right time , and with their size inside,

and improving guard play, are going to hard to knock out of the 16th.

Elliot County will have their hands full with this team in the rematch

Good Lord, I think I just vomitted in my mouth. Bless the hearts of those that qualify for the state tournament. I am assured now that they draw straws or do rock-paper-scissors to determine who arbitrates the state tournament.

Only in Kentucky, baby!

Cart before the horse syndrome.

Congratulations to the Royals. I haven't been around this region long, but I have quickly discovered that Mr. Billman is the poorest official I've seen in this region. And I'm not simply stating one way or another. Just poor. Absolute hatchets, skin slapping tomohawks and no call. Kid rises to block a shot, no contact, foul. Miserable I say.

But I would like to congratulate the Boyd seniors hanging tough through a difficult campaign.

Royals came out with the #1 seed intact. Looked like heavyweight champ tonight. I thought the pressure would get to Boyd, and it did.

Good luck to the Royals and Mr. Fraley on Friday.

Only in America, baby!

Coaches, who do this for a living, must not think so. He was voted #1 by the BOYS coaches in this region. He will be officiating in the boys state tournament but I am sure the casual fan, as usual, knows more than the coaches.

Don, has the hair fallen into your eyes? Joe is an outstanding official and will be officiating the Boys state tourney!!

Only in America can a person hide behind a computer screen and rip on people doing their job.

Yeah, us casual fans don't know anything. I suggest you call Mr. Fraley this morning and ask what kind of job he did. For that matter, call Mr. Zornes. And you don't know me, casual or not. You have no idea if I have experience officiating or not. I still think they used the rock-paper-scissors method.

Oh, and did I mention, the officiating didn't determine the outcome?

We need to keep this on the game and not each other.....take it to PM's.:irked:

Mr Zornes and Mr Fraley both had a chance to rate Mr Billman. Or scratch Mr Billman before the season.

Mr. Go, I understand your position, and I know that you are pals with all of the officials in the region especially in your line of work. But he was brutal last night, plain and simple. I've seen him twice, he's 2 for 2. And that's all I'll say about the subject in this forum, since I have my opinion, and others have theirs.

I apologize I was posting when you posted, I will depart this thread immediately.

I failed to mention how much I will miss Selby. I was a classmate of his fathers for 11 years, and no that wasn't just high school:D, and I know proud he is of Justin. When you think about how big he is and how well he moves it is just mind boggling. If he is interested some college should look at him for the offensive line he would be an athletic freak on the oline.

I agree with this, he could definately play the position.

Selby is a phenomenal athlete. It's amazing a guy 6' 4" and 290ish can motor up and down the floor and get above the rim the way he does... not far above the rim perhaps, but the boy can climb the ladder. I for one will miss seeing him suited up and on the floor. He, as much as any other player IMO has kept Boyd County in contention over the past three seasons.

I am also thankful that he did not crush and mangle any our our players, as it appears he easily could have.

I resubmit that instead of retiring his number, they should retire his license plate, as that would be a more appropriate numbering method for a specimen of his specific dimensions. :thumb:

All joking aside, Selby is a great competitor and a good sportsman. I will miss him, and wish him all the best in his future endeavors. :thumb:
