While I don't agree with them, I admire their faith and devotion. I often wondered how things would be if all Christians required 2 years of service in the Missions Field of their young people. I don't think it's any secret that this method is obviously working as Mormonism is one of the fastest growing religions in the world. We had a wonderful conversation with a young man in the Atlanta Airport as we were heading home from our mission trip to Mexico who was returning from spending 2 years in South Korea as a Missionary for the LDS Church. He was very passionate about what he had been doing and although his time of service was through he planned on returning after college. So while I certainly do not agree with their doctrine, I definitely admire their faith and their dedication. I wish more Christians had the same kind of devotion and did more than show up on a Sunday morning.

Red, great post. I've asked my fellow church goers the same thing. They think its great to go door to door but they want someone else to visit. Thats why I posted what I did. I wanted to tell them even though we disagree on some Bible issues I commend their effort.

I think my address might be blackballed.:D

That's ok LBBC. Mine too!! :D

I personally have no problem with them. In fact, I have several friends who are Jehova Witnesses. But, I do have a story to share.

A cousin of mine lives in Nashville. He was dating, quite seriously I may add, a girl who was a Jehova's Witness. When they broke up, he started receiving visits from her family and church members EVERY DAY! Even if he wasn't home, he found literature on his door when he came home. He finally had to move to a different apartment just to get some peace and quiet. When he was asked why he moved, he replied "I joined the Jehova's Witness Protection Program".

Unfortunately, it's no joke this time. It truthfully happened.
