BTW, as far as I know, this is the event that President Lee Todd allows the students to challenge him to a game of pool, where if they beat him he will give them his basketball tickets for which ever game they choose. Does anyone know if he got beat? I think what you're referring to is Midnight Crunch Brunch which is during finals week. And I do no know about his pool record...
February 25, 200818 yr Well, the guy spent about 7 or 8 minutes talking to my 10 year old son last week at a high school game and even asked him a little about himself. There was no media watching and my son is not anyone "special's" kid--just a little boy who loves basketball. That tells me all I need to know about BCG's character. He could have easily just brushed him off or scribbled his name, but he actually talked to him. My son was on Cloud 9.

February 27, 200818 yr Just found this video on YouTube of BCG speaking to all the students at DanceBlue before he donated the money. Say what you want about the guy, but he's extremely genuine and generous, and UK is lucky to have him as a coach. Gillispie at DanceBlue

February 27, 200818 yr Much more powerful but it kind of reminds the day he came to Lexington. He said something like "I'm a baby" and my favorite ever was when he said "If you all will just keep cheering, I'll stand up and here and not say a word". You could tell he was overwhelmed then just like he was in this video.
