February 24, 200818 yr Author I'm in my second semester at the Community College in Maysville and am planning to major in accounting as well. And I am looking at schools to transfer to such as NKU EKU and UK. How was the program at NKU? It's good. As with every school there are a few professors that aren't the best, but overall, I feel like I've had a very good experience with it.
February 24, 200818 yr The GRE is the hardest test that I have ever taken. When I left the testing center I honestly thought that I did not get a single question correct. So I sucked it up and stopped by Applebee's for Happy Hour. A few weeks later I recieved a score of 1100, I was the most relieved human on Earth. I AGREE!!! The GRE is KILLER. I took it at Marshall so they were able to score mine immediately (with a 1200 but the 3rd part really didn't count toward my entrance requirements). My requirements were at least an 800 in the first 2 sections. And that was quite an accomplishment since I've been out of college for SEVERAL YEARS!! The nice thing about taking it at Marshall (aside from immediate results), I could have retaken it again when I was there if time allowed. LUCKILY . . . I didn't need it!!!!
February 24, 200818 yr I completed my master's degree 2 years ago at UK and had to take the GRE prior to entrance. Let me tell you . . . there is really no way to "study" for it other than learning the format. The majority of the information is stuff that you either know or you don't. There are several books out there to assist you in your preparation. Some include computer assistance which is also helpful since the test (depending upon the testing location) is computerized. The only advice I will give though is to focus your attention on the first several questions of each section as they effect your score moreso than subsequent ones. (ex: everyone starts with a score of 400 for each section, with the first couple of questions: if right you jump to a score of 500 but if wrong you drop to a 300. From there your score is adjusted by 20 points up and down based upon your accuracy). What all is included in the test exactly? Not exact questions, but the format.

February 25, 200818 yr Author One thing that I'm confused about, is the GRE....My brother is in Grad school down at UK, and the test he had to take was the GMAT....That's what I was thinking I had to take???

February 25, 200818 yr I say Duke. I plan on starting to work towards my MBA in the fall through Morehead. The MBA program is online through MSU and I have heard that it's actually a really good program.
