Top 5 programs in the mountains

It's a good list but why would Johnson Central rate?

How many finals has Lawrence County been too? They had a great run but few title game appearances.

Louisa High School was good back in the 70's. I think they lost to Beachwood in one of the final four's. The 80's were pretty tough on Lawrence Co. Lawrence Co was as good as anybody in the mountains throughout the 90's. They averaged around 11 wins a season and went to 3 final four's losing to Highlands,Mayfield and Bourban. Highlands also beat them another year that LC was loaded. Those two Highlands teams would have beaten everybody in the mountains so it was a tough luck of the draw.

The new decade has been pretty tough for the most part with a couple of good years. I think the pipeline looks good so we'll see.

I will argue that no school has sent more players to college or developed more coaches than Lawrence County has since 1990. That's not just the mountains. There are a few schools that have sent more kids to school but not a lot and there might not be any that have produced more coaches that graduated from their school.

Johnson Central has really just come on these last few years.
