February 21, 200818 yr I am not going to read the 5 page discussion that is already going on OVER A WALK ON, so I will just state my opinion. I dont see how this is a big deal at all, honestly. The kid was a walk on and sounds like he deserved it. Billy has got the likes of Ramel and Joe to buy into his system on the basketball court, could this walk on not buy into showing a little respect for a teammate? I would be embarrased if I was caught laughing on the bench during a blowout loss. Apparently this kid doesn't really care too much about the team anyways. Of course though, it looks like some will bash Billy over something so marginal when they dont even know the opposing side of the story. It would be dumb on BG's part to come out and talk about this. It would only be a distraction that this team does not need. I'm with you on this one. Read the first page and last unbelievable five pages on a walk on being dismissed. For any UL fans to get on here and have a problem with cussing is beyond me. I've seen and heard Pitino use the Fword on national tv, so what goes on in practice when there are no cameras around I would guess would be worse. I agree that the kids high school coach not taking up for him was very telling. Like most have said just another chance for some to bash Billy.
February 21, 200818 yr It wasnt a case of profanity in practice that people are talking about. Ask all of the people here if they have an issue with that and the likely answer will be that they dont. What they have an issue with I suppose is taking a young man into an office and berating him with obscenities like he doesnt matter, and in an area that could be heard by others. Think about how you would feel, walk on or not? Also, I wouldnt blame the kid for it making the papers. I would say chances are Jerry Tipton searched Mills out, because he knew he wouldnt get anything out of BCG.
