February 19, 200818 yr That's hilarious...I'm just picturing that in my head. I'm sure he thought I was a psycho. The next roommate lived right across the hall and the old roommate wouldnt make eye contact with me after that:lol:. The next roommate was from Nelson County, he was a real Holy Roller, but pretty nice guy, I wonder what ever happened to that guy, he left school at the end of the semester:lol:
February 19, 200818 yr Spitters are, without a doubt, the nastiest things in the entire world. And they're EVERYWHERE.
February 19, 200818 yr Spitters are, without a doubt, the nastiest things in the entire world. And they're EVERYWHERE. Well there aren't too many alternatives to them, and not dipping isn't a good one either.
February 19, 200818 yr My daughter at Murray (Regents) lucked out big time! Her roommate is a ghost! The ghost keeps some stuff in the room, but lives off campus, so my daughter has the dorm room all to herself.
February 19, 200818 yr I honestly see nothing wrong. If you go to bed by 11 then so be it but just because you feel like going to bed shouldn't be anything to your roommate. If it's a 2 person dorm and it's just one room then why should he have to leave the room just because you're going to sleep. He paid just as much for that dorm as you so he has the right to talk on the phone. yeah it probably gets annoying but just buy some ear plugs or something. If nothing was discussed at the beginning of the year then why's it a big deal now?
February 19, 200818 yr My son had a roomie that loved to help himself to my son's food/etc. when he was in class. He asked for a change and got one.
February 20, 200818 yr Im at Murray State (Hester) and my roommate and I have known each other for quite a few years. We get along great, he usually goes home on weekends so I have the room to myself on the weekends.
February 20, 200818 yr gooch, are you still at the same school you were at last semester? I understood you were thinking of changing... good luck on the roommate problems. I think earplugs are a nice peaceful solution.
February 20, 200818 yr My best friend from high school ended up hating me in college. We didn't speak for a few years after that. I didn't know there was a problem until he exploded on me one night and moved home. My subsequent roommates and I are still best of friends today. One of them used to put up a sign that said, "Your mother does not live here, clean up after yourselves." To which I would append, "That is why we let you live here. Stop complaining and clean it up." We laughed about this last week....23 years later. Talking it out will help.

Stop complaining and clean it up." We laughed about this last week....23 years later. Talking it out will help. I moved in with three of my best friends from H.S. freshman year. We hated each other and for awhile weren't very close. I have lived next door to them since then and practically lived together, but after being roommates almost ended our friendships I realized we couldn't do it. I moved in with two guys I occasionally hung out with and another I didn't know. We worked out perfectly and are still great friends two years later as am I with the first group of guys. Some people you can live with, some you can't. As far as the original question, buy some ear plugs.
February 20, 200818 yr Well there aren't too many alternatives to them, and not dipping isn't a good one either. There aren't too many alternatives? There may not be too many of them, but there is at least one that I know of. THROW IT AWAY!
