February 27, 200818 yr Don't feel bad. It doesn't really start setting in until you start noticing lots and lots of gray/white hairs where they weren't before. Such as all up in my beard, which makes me have to shave more often than I'd like. :irked: Already getting some gray on the sides... :irked:
February 27, 200818 yr Let me rephrase: They don't check to make sure you're a current student? I knew what you were saying, just making you squirm a little. There is a guest policy at the Johnson Center in which people not in school there can use the facilities if they come with someone who is a student or employed there.

February 27, 200818 yr Jim, in your professional Hunter Thompson opinion what is the best read after Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas?
February 27, 200818 yr Jim, in your professional Hunter Thompson opinion what is the best read after Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas? Jim's new book. Fear and Loathing On BGP...
February 27, 200818 yr I'm going to Louisville this weekend to hang out with my old roommates. When talking about going out to eat he mentioned El Nopal, obviously a Mexican place. How good is this place? Do I need to get them to find me an italian place instead?
February 27, 200818 yr Jim, in your professional Hunter Thompson opinion what is the best read after Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas? In my order of preference: F&L in Las Vegas Hell's Angels The Rum Diary F&L on the Campaign Trail '72 Better Than Sex: Confessions of a Political Junkie The Curse Of Lono is out of print. I've only had the chance to read a few chapters of it (in NKU's Library in the special reserved section; couldn't check it out). Screwjack was also a limited printing, and I have not read it. The Gonzo Papers (three separate books) are good reading, but given as they are made up of personal letters to and from HST, only serious fans would probably appreciate it. Same goes for A Generation Of Swine and some of the other books that were just essentially a collection of newspaper columns. The Great Shark Hunt is a good entry-level look into his writing. It has many of his old magazine articles from the '60s and '70s, including the classic "The Kentucky Derby Is Decadent And Depraved." My brother got me a copy of "Gonzo: The Life of Hunter S. Thompson" (written by Jann Wenner and Corey Seymour) for Christmas. I've only read bits and pieces of it; need to tackle it head-on.
February 27, 200818 yr I'm sure I'll be an interesting "character"... Indeed. You may even get a chapter in the big book.

There is a guest policy at the Johnson Center in which people not in school there can use the facilities if they come with someone who is a student or employed there. I see. You had me wondering there. I was figuring I should be able to use my old NKU and WKU IDs to go play in the gyms there when in town. Although I look like a completely different person now than in those IDs. Especially the WKU one. :sssh:
