Well that makes alot of sense. GRC has known for at least two years, if not alot longer, that it is their year to host the district, and it is always been scheduled for the last week February/first week of March. Sounds like the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing! If this scheduling mistake, they should forfeit hosting. Shoot, with the small crowds that attend their games anyway, they could host the district at Clark Middle and have plenty of room.

If Paris does not upset Montgomery County here in the finals, I call for the upset of Mason by Paris at regionals.

I am assuming of course that Mason and Montgomery draws opposite of each other in the region. If they do, then Paris, if they are the runner up will be on Mason's side.

 

I just got a feeling that Paris is going to upset someone in the playoffs. And the only two teams above them are Mason and Montgomery.

I agree. I think Paris will surprise some people come tournament time. Their defense is so good, if they could just pick it up on the scoring end, they could make a run at it. Paris and Mason still have a regular season game left to play, so it could be interesting to see how that one plays out.

Could not agree with you more. Clark County fans do not support their girls like they do the guys. If they have a doubleheader with the boys and the boys play first it will be a large crowd and then they leave as soon as the girls come out.

Plays are not held in our gym. We have a new auditorium and that is where all the plays are held. I will see what I can find out, but the above statement is not true.

This is not true. Last year both games were played on Monday and the Championship on Thursday. The year before both games were played on Wednesday and the Championship on Friday.

 

It sounds like although the play is not in the gym, the school does not want to compete with it since it runs three straight days. I'm also assuming that the schools agreed to the schedule @ Montgomery for the boys to accommodate the girls. I believe there is an issue trying to get quality officials for all these nights as well.

 

It's a horrible injustice to both the boys and girls, but I think the coaches and administrator were probably handcuffed by some of the limitations due to the conflicts.

I agree with you comment "not wanting to compete with the play" but it still is GRC "people" fault for this scheduling issue. It should not have happened!!
